Every town's got one!

What starts with dragon adorned Pagoda Gate, has aromas of cooking to tempt your senses, shouts in strange languages to encourage you into their stores and lots of colour so pleasing to the eye?

Chinatown of course!   Being down at Union Square with plenty of time to spare, we decided to try to walk back to the ship.  Now on a flat map it looks easy, but if it was in 3D you would see you had a problem.  After asking the question to our guide yesterday, he gave a us recommended route for those of us willing to try.  That was taking Grant and Stockton streets that would eventually lead us to Fisherman’s Wharf.

The benefits were that you passed through Chinatown and avoided (not completely) the steep streets.

Like all Chinatowns there were rows of souvenir shops, restaurants and produce markets.  Lanterns hung in the streets and murals decorated the walls.

I even stopped for a quick fortune telling by Zoltar... Praising me for my keen mind, understanding nature and one of these days I will be in the possession of a beautiful home.... how did he know!  Gee I wonder how our apartment is going.
